Yup, that very thought has been crossing my mind.

I've been thinking about picking up a couple of cheap M104's and a OM617 turbo'ed engine for my '81 300CD. This just might be the time for it. Don't care about the interior or electronics since I'll be scrapping out the bodies.

Maybe not. I'm expecting anything over 10 years old or body damaged newer cars to be crushed immediately due to lack of space.

Yup, not just newer stuff, but older high end cars too. The market gets flooded (pun intended) with cars after each major storm, by unscrupulous wash-n-shine flippers who make no mention of the car's aquatic past.

Where in Rincon? I live in the next town. I know theres a Rincon hack and stack that ships crashed cars to Saudi and others to be rebuilt and sold as new.

At least they will have plenty of time to dry out.

When it comes down to it, an actual inspection of a car beats any Auto Check or Car Fax that some hold all holy.

I'll be watching Copart soon and probably buying a few cars to part out.
