I ended up connecting the manifold straight to the alda and it came alive. Still need to turn it up but it'll do a burnout now and is fun to drive. Now I can address the nitpicky stuff like ball joints and cruddy headlights.

Never should you consider ball joints nitpicky. I drove a tow truck and still do. I've towed so many cars because people neglected ball joints.

yeah the ball joints are important maintence item on theses cars, I had one fail comeing out of a parking lot out onto a main road, it broke right there at the bump. They were tight but were all rusty and dry inside. So do them. mine I think had 250,000 on them. Id day replace them at 200,000 wether they need it or not.

I busted out the troublesome ball joint that was creaking tonight. It steers so much better! The old joint was 100% full of rust. I watched a YouTube video of some German guys just hammering it out and it looked simple enough. It was.
