1982 300TD different rear axle lengths?

I will be replacing the axles on a friends TD, so I told him to order up the axles. Pelican no longer has axles in stock (so he was told), so he called a few other local stores (NAPA). They said there are two different lengths (per computer). I don't believe that to be true. I believe that a W123 axle is the same for all years and body styles. However, the only difference I know is homokenetic vs annular. Anybody know why NAPA has two different lengths listed for the same car?

excluding a fraction of a mm, there's only one lenght to my understanding / experience.

I have seen slightly different compressed lengths specified online as well. Given the fact that the shafts telescope significantly, a minor difference in the compressed length is not material.

When I look at NAPA online, only one axle is shown. However, two lengths are listed for that axle: 2413 mm and 75.00 (no units specified.) Neither is anywhere close to being correct. Par for the course for NAPA online.

NAPA also says Max quantity per car: 1.

52 bucks, free shipping and lifetime warranty. Just saying..... BTW, I have these in my wagon and they are great. no issues at all.

Same length. There are different flange diameters, but the axles can swap r and l.

That is sometimes true and sometimes not. The rest of the story is in the W123 FSM.
