west coast get-together?
I'm kinda new here. Is there a west coast gathering? I see alot in Texas and New Jersey(New Jersey?!?!), ect, but that's kinda far for me out here in Washington state.

Here's list
1. Too expensive
2. Taxes are too high 3. Traffic stinks 4. Too many nut cases on the loose 5. No Sprint Car racing 6. They call tomato sauce "gravy" 7. Tolls 9. Favorite pastime is getting a tatoo or body piercing 10. Newark Airport The only redeeming values about this state are the bakeries and deli's. An I live here!  JCD

Are you in Western Washington? There are a lot of 300's in the Seattle area, not sure how many participate here. Would be fun to see a bunch of old MB diesels together.

I'd be interested in a West Coast meet, but I would hope for something a bit more central, like the north end of California or southern Oregon (about halfway up the coast). That way it'd be an equal trip for the SoCal guys and the Seattle guys...
I was actually hoping the Texas meet would have been earlier in the year; I've been talking to a member on here about buying his car in the DFW area, but that had better be sooner than November...

You forgot one of the worst things about Jersey, you have to pay big time to go to the beach, eh... I mean shore, and the surf stinks to boot!

With regards to the tolls, I find it pretty funny that atleast coming from NY, they don't make you pay to get into Jersey, but they make you pay up the a$$ to get out. It's almost like they're well aware that the stench and the crazies will get to you and that you'll be more than willing to pay $6.50 (yes, $6.50) to cross the GWB to get the hell out. (j/k)

I'm all for it. Western Washington has lot's of Diesels Benzs and so little gravy?

You can debate it all day......they call it gravy.
I have said, roast a turkey, take the drippings and make what.... They say gravy. I say, what do you put on pasta that is made out of tomato's..... They say gravy. Go figure. JCD

What's That Smell? New Jersey....
One of a Philadelphia resident's favorite pass-times is raggin on NJ. But its funny how often we find ourselves going there.
 I like to say it is a unique place with colorful people. Famous Jersey Hello: "Who the f#$ are you?" "Who's askin..?" But Phila. can be just as bad, we just think we're better cause we got cheese steaks (with gravy), wuda ice, sof prezels, and hoagies (subs).

In my small town they have Norwegian Festivals and the fools acutally bolt down lutefisk. That stuff is nasty. I have not tried it, but I would stake my cats life on a bet that the stuff would take the paint off a new Benz.
I always leave town when the stuff starts to bake. Could some of that stuff they serve in New Jersey be that bad?
