How to adapt Leakdown tester for OM603? Will the readings be accurate?

What fittings do I need to use? About the accuracy part, we all know diesel use much smaller cylinder volumes for combustion, will this effect the readings, giving me a false positive?

I have a snap on mt324, used it on my lawnmower and friends accord to see if it worked.

I used the harbor freight leak down tester, and I needed to use a glow plug adapter from a harbor freight compression tester. Some have a schrader check valve in them which you want to use for the compresstion test, and remove for the leak down.

Now to check which stroke the engine was on, did you remove the valve cover and place a dial caliper on the camshaft to get an accurate reading?

I want to do that but I don't know how to setup the dial caliper in such a manner. I can NEVER seem to get it on the right way.
