If the rod adjustment does not work. Mercedes automatics especially the earlier ones. The seals dry out internally. This delays shifts.
Worth trying some transmission conditioner. Remember though it takes time to work usually. My automatic transmission guy used to say 1000 to 1500 miles. |

I adjusted the trans and the only gear it kind of keeps rpm at is the first shift. Others are butter smooth. I just have no power at WOT in higher gears. Rpm goes up but the speed takes a while to get there. I checked my atf and it's overfilled. So I'm waiting for it to cool and draining some out and adding a conditioner and going to take out another turn in the linkage toward the lose side.

So most my issues solved. I still have a flair 2-3 when floored and it seems in higher gears when floored the rpm goes up but it takes a little bit for the car to catch up. I adjusted the rod and drained some fluid and added some trans X. Wow what a difference smoother shifts at part throttle and it seems like it's getting better the more I drive it. Now it's a matter of burning through this old fuel and adding b20 to see if I can stop some of the smoking when I first start the car. The more I do to it the more I love this car. Any tips would be appreciated
