And another winner!

Hey, just thought I'd share that I converted another to the MB Diesel world!

A friend and soon to be forum member has sold his 1998 Neon for a 1983 300DT.

Found it on AutoTrader of all places and drove down to Columbus Ohio this weekend to buy it.

Here is the pic:

Looks nice! I'm glad you found a good car for your "apprentice"!

I'm trying to convert a couple of my friends too, as well as my girlfriend. Actually, I've already convinced her, but she wants to at least get her Toyota paid off before she gets rid of it!

billrok: Actually it is gray with navy interior.
176K miles. Car is great except for the rear passenger wheelwell was "repaired" due to rust. I use that term loosely. The new owner says that he will take it to a body shop for an estimate at least... good idea me thinks.

Mike: Thanks for the leads in the Atlanta area...will not be needing them for THIS friend, but I had another friend of the family call last night and asked "So tell me a little more about them there Mercedes diesels...." I may be on the prowl again reeeeal soon!

(I think the HUNT is 90% of the fun...)

Smile First MB

Howdy! I am the newest owner of the Ascot Gray 1983 300D from Ohio. I'm thoroughly enjoying it! Dieseldaddy has been a great help in educating me and helping me through the purchasing process. Be looking for some posts from me as I have a lot to learn, but am excited about the MB diesel world!
