Wow, it wasn't too long ago that I had the interior torn down this far, and I have to say, I'm not too eager to do it again! Thanks for the info, though. I will start with the easier stuff first, and hopefully I won't have to go this far.

I have a Sportline interior on my car now, so the interior vacuum pump is very easily accessible by just removing the passenger rear lower seat cushion. About 30 seconds of work to access.

This is true on a sedan, there is much easier access to the pump than on a wagon.

However the problem splices are under the carpet about where the right rear passenger feet would be. Maybe easier on a sedan to access these than on the wagon due to how the carpet is arranged. On a wagon the carpet goes all the way to the back rest.

And of course, yesterday the damn thing starts working again. Oh well - I'll take it!

+1 on what Jay Bob posted, I had very similar problems as you, and when I did this all my central locking problems went away. I even ran a new power wire to the pump to try to fix this, no joy.

I found that if I disconnected and re-connected the battery, the system would work again correctly for a few days.
