Heater Core Bypass w115 240d
Hello I have a 74 240d w115. The heater core is leaking coolant into rear seat area of the car. I would like to bypass the heater core but I want to do this properly. I have uploaded images to help.
I have an idea of the parts to use but I'm not sure exactly which hoses to connect and bypass also the size of the hoses. Thanks |

BN:
1) Disconnect and plug the center hose on the heater control valve. [3rd pic] 2) Disconnect the right angle hose from behind the water pump, and cap the pump connection with a short piece of hose and a plug. [2nd pic] |

I there's an auxiliary coolant pump like in the W123, cut and cap the power line. These are known to short and cause in-dash fires.

Yes just block the pipes off, don't bypass as it reduces cooling system efficiency
