The power steering pump is making squealing noise and starting to leak oil behind the pulley. Car has 440,000 miles on it.
Is it easy enough to replace bearings and seals or am I better of finding a used pump?

Let me see if I can sell you a pump. I think I still have it. It has about 280k on it and works good no leaks as far as I remember. No crazy price.

Oh amd hey your approaching mileage of my 99 e300. Glad to know I'm not the only high mileage om606 out there. I ran across one with 515k.

It's my winter beater, I park the '99 over winter to keep the salt off of it. I need to replace the "stuck" glow plugs on the '95 and I know exactly how I'm going to do it!!!!!

Hey I'm glad to hear my technique works. It works for me like a charm, so I figured someone else might benefit from it. I found out they used the same technique at the dealer when the glow plugs qouldnt come out. Do you use a 3/8 impact or 1/2?

I used a 3/8" impact with air pressure regulator set to 30psi. after several attempts without success I increased the pressure to 35 psi and they finally started to break free.
