1981 MB 240D - accelerator cable

Hi - the accelerator cable on my W123 1981 240D is very loose. I can't seem to find a replacement cable, any advice ? Can an overly loose cable be the result of a bad motor mount ? Thanks

Your car does not have an accelerator cable. I am guessing you have an automatic trans and are talking about the Bowden cable (transmits mechanically the position of the accelerator linkage to the transmission). It may just need adjustment.
