Accessing Center Cowl Piece on W123
My wiper fluid reservoir has never sprayed since I bought my car. Today, I scavenged a replacement motor at a junkyard. I have taken off the chrome/plastic left and right sides numerous times, and I have taken off the center piece a few times but only on parts cars.
When I open this up on my daily driver W123, I want to make sure I have everything to put it back together ASAP. Can anyone enlighten me on the fasteners used on the center piece? Are they one time use? If so, where do you buy replacements? If not, how do you access them without breaking? This last time I used a punch that was probably too big and ended up destroying the fasteners to open it up. Dkr. |

I don't follow which parts you are talking about.

Are you looking for 1239900192, the air intake grille rivet?
It is locked with a center pin, push the center pin up and out from below to remove it, or from above - harpoon the center pin with a safety pin to get purchase and pivot it up and out. They can be brittle and are easy to drop and lose ...so order a few extras. Item # 179 in the link.
