Extremely quick glow plug CYCLE time,85 300d

Its getting close to the winter time and I want to be prepped with a good preheat glow plug run , this car is an 85 300d with an extremely quick glow plug cycle.In 3 seconds it clicks ,Ive cycled the key a couple of times to make sure before start up and seems to start fine but 30s are coming soon(In the south thats considered deep winter) Is their Anyway to get the click at a later time ,adjustments to the relay at all.

Install fresh capacitors. I have a thread somewhere on this forum where I went through that this past winter. New caps fixed the issue.
