I have been adjusting OM616 valves on 240D cars in the 1300 position for years. It makes them smooth running.

Using a short feeler gauge leaf, I found that sometimes when I positioned the leaf, it was not quite flat to the intersection of rocker arm and cam lobe. The longer leaf is much more flexible and positions itself more accurately.
May just be my personal ham-handedness. |
