Did the euro imports 1977-1985 300d cars have dr pillar plates
Its unfamiliar to not see it present ,shows alot of euro -ness ,no sunroof ,euro bumbers and roll dwn windows .The dr pillar has no data tag is this common of euro imports.

Not sure about the 123, but my SL has a door tag. Literally just a sticker with the original owner's name and very basic details about the car such as the VIN and the axle weights. It's a pretty pathetic sticker, so if the 123 had one, it could have easily come off at some point in time.

Good to know ,I had a euro 1985 190e cosworth ,it had its tag at the engine crossmember .

The grey market Id stickers are added by the certified importer of the car or the BAR. MB did not put them on. The door plates on a standard U.S. model are for NA market only. My 280sl has the BAR sticker from 2012 and an importers sticker from 1985 It has no windshield VIN and DMV seems to be fine with it. No door or windshield VIN came in either of my euros originally. transportation laws are different in Germany.
