I have one of those kits. I bought it surplus somewhere like a garage sale. Also used them before in college. I have mixed results. Sometimes the ends don't stick. The youtube said that superglue requires heat, so I might try that next time. Last time, I made an O-ring for the turbo compressor housing on my 1984 300D (O-ring in rebuild kit is too large for ours). I am not worried using a made-O-ring for an app like sealing a non-pressurized reservoir, or where gas is sealed. I install w/ the glued gap at the top.

CA doesn't activate with heat, it activates with moisture. So breath is still a valid way of hurrying it along... But I'm surprised that it's what you use. It's usually brittle and flaky when it cures, especially if it's on a stretchy surface. Interesting.
