OM602 Oil Pan Torque Specs
Can't find the torque specs anywhere..
Just get them gütentite,eh? :-D Haha just kidding. |

Not too far off. I'd guess 8-10 ft.-lb.
You are trying to compress the gasket material, not crush it. This is about the only area where I would recommend a silicone sealant.

Last time I did this, I not only used a light coat of sealant, I used a low strength locking compound on the bolts. Hopefully, it will still disassemble easily next time. But at least I'm leak-free.

Anyone have the specs from the manual?
I gotta get a new torque wrench anyways, so not in a huge hurry. And yea I was gonna use a little 3M gasket sealant on it!

FSM says 10nm for 6mm bolts, 25nm for 8mm bolts.
