87 300D evaporator removal

Sniffer found leak in the evaporator. Followed the removal as described in the CD's but still no go. Pulled dash, panels, 4 bracket screws, dash pots, lower center bolt, center console, side panels, key lock,6 screws on the 3 heater pipes, seems to be held near the top. maybe have to pull fan from engine compartment? Any ideas?

Lots to remove outside...

You’re going to have to remove the wiper motor and the blower. Plenty to remove under the windshield.
