Eccentric bolts for 1984 300DT; genuine MB or Ebay?

Found a pair of Eccentric Bolts on ebay that says "Lemforder" for around $30. Can I trust the quality?

I can tell you that the bracket on the K-frame which the LCA bolt connects to will break first since my 1984 300D was cracked when I bought it. The owner said it had been stolen and crashed into a curb, which had torn the K-frame spot welds from the frame rails and shock towers. Either the shop missed the LCA bracket or it later cracked. Anyway, I repaired that bracket better than new, plus the side attachments when the shop's poor welds separated a few years later. In other words, the LCA bolt and eccentric washers is so much thicker than the sheet-metal brackets that even if made of cheap steel the bracket would break first, unless of course made of cast-iron or such, and seems you can never be sure if made in India.

I've been thinking about this one; I would imagine genuine MB Eccentric bolts are made from German Steel. We are talking about the steering on the car, a very important component.

That said, as a DIYer, I'm unsure of the actual real world stresses placed on the Eccentric pins/bolts? Are they critical to steering/alignment?

If the MB eccentrics are made from German steel then I have oceanfront property to sell you in Arizona. You're fooling nobody but yourself if you think an eccentric bolt is coming from anywhere but China or some Eastern Europe country these days, regardless if it has that fancy star stamped in it or not.

It seems the original question is really whether or not you can trust something on eBay to be genuine. In my experience you can as long as it's a seller with a good reputation. Also check where the item is shipping from. If it's China then those Pokemon cards are fake!

It's also worth noting that Lemforder is an OEM supplier to Mercedes for a large number of suspension components and they have one of the best reputations for "aftermarket" parts since they're usually the exact same thing as the MB oem, but without the star.

Oh yeah, if the question is whether or not Lemforder is good then yes I would have no problem using them since it's one of the few "gooduns" left as far as manufacturers.
