Sources for injector nozzles?
Gents,
I need to get some injector nozzles to rebuild a set of injectors. I have read good things about Monark nozzles. I checked the outfit in Bellingham that people have purchased from, and their page lists them as out of stock. Any one have another source? Does anyone have the Monark part number? This is for a turbo 617 engine. Thanks, W |

They usually restock fairly quickly. That happened when I was ready to order. Send an e-mail to the "contact us," and you should get a prompt reply about when they expect to have more.

ebay is your friend. I bought a set of Bosio injectors and had them popped and shimmed at a local diesel truck shop.

In my search for injector nozzles, M source has been out since Nov., and the ship date has been pushed back a couple of times, now to April. The ones on Ebay, from Germany, had a delivery date of the end of March.
I found only two listings on Ebay for Bosio nozzles, and neither were for my engine. I did find one outfit that had Bosio nozzles, and I got the last of their stock. Hope this all is not a sign of things to come. The Bosio nozzles I got are sd265. Apparently they work, but sd261 are supposed to be better. The Monark nozzles MS has had are supposedly sd261. The outfit also had sd314 nozzles (out of stock) listed as fitting the OM617 engine, but developing more power. Any one have any experience with these? I beat the bushes pretty hard before I ordered the Bosio nozzles, and all I could find was Bosch. Even went to the point of calling local mechanic and euro supply places locally, still Bosch. I called the local Mercedes dealer, who could get nozzles, but they were $76 each. Didn't think to ask where they were made. I ordered what I needed, but am interested if anyone else has other sources. Regards, W. |

If your willing to take the guys word on the condition of them then you have your injectors by next week and u save a whole lot of coin... It should be on the 2nd or 3rd page in. Titled: injectors. I believe

I guess they are actually bosio nozzles. And they have 10k on the nozzles. But if you want brand new I totally get it. But IMO I see a lot of life left in those and it really does save you hundreds of dollars and time. Most of the time are members are totally honest about condition

Excluding Bosch made nozzles, which are made in either India or China these days (240/ Bosch German made for turbo applications are NLA or German made Bosch 240 for NA applications). Good luck finding NOS. They are pricey and rare. You are left with Monark and Bosios generally. DES, et al have merged with Monark. I point this out at www.dieselfuelinjector.guru
There could be other less known brands out there, but I suspect when I see those, they are re-branded Monarks or someone who picked up one of their lathes and they are spinning nozzles here or there. However, those "private label" nozzles don't last long. For example, you can go to Alibaba and buy 500 to 1,000 nozzles for less than a $1.00 each to include shipping and they will even engrave your company name or logo or whatever you want. However, I would not trust a .75 nozzle even though it may have a catchy or cool name. You can go through E B A Y, and you will see all sorts of offerings over the years. However, be aware that the .75 nozzles are being pirated as Bosch's |

Thanks Greazzer for commenting on nozzle options.
The idea that "you get what you pay for" seems to still be true most of the time. Regards, Doug |
