I plan to be there too, and if I can coerce a son or two to come with me I may have some extras. I am not too sure I will be successful on that front though, as they think I am a little whacky with this Diesel stuff already. Jim

I am definitely planning to show up. To be there at 1 pm? that means I should probably leave Boston early in the morning.
In fact I'd like to try and leave early just to avoid traffic.

I wonder what I'm gonna do if I end up arriving at 11 or 12 o'clock though....

As a reference point, it took me about 3 hours to get to Marlborough, MA, but I drive fast.

And if you never came down this way, an excellent way to get here would be:

Mass pike to 290
84 south
684 south
287 west
287 south
to 202

Hi! Thanks for the tip. I planned it out using Mapquest and it's quite different.

I figured that with a full tank of fuel I should be able to make it there with some fuel left in the tank.

This would be the longest drive I've ever done. I still would rather have a friend or someone to come along with me just in case. However, we shall see.

Thanks

Thumbs up Getting excited

As it looks now, I will be there.

BTW- Did the other thread get too unwieldy? I thought TXBILL stickied it.

I am really excited about the meet. I'm gonna change my oil on Sun morning and then head North.

According to Weatherbug, Sunday may be: Partly cloudy. A chance of showers after midnight. Lows in the mid 50s and highs in the mid 70s.

Sounds like a nice one. See you all there.

Are we still looking at 2:00 PM?

l8r,
James

I think I should be able to make it. How long do you guys usually stay at these things? I'd probably only be able to come late and it would be a shame if everyone had already left. Thanks.

Probably two to three hours or so for meeting duration. My own perception is that there is a direct relationship between the quantity as well as quality of donuts and the length and ultimate value of the gathering. I have not as yet ciphered the exact coefficients applicable, but am certain of their exceedingly high value.

Holson and 84300DT,

If you guys want to plan to meet on the road, select a route and a time and we can try to coordinate our schedules to be there or meet at an exit/intersection along the way. I was looking to leave around 11 a.m. to get there around 2 p.m. as Mapquest tells me it is around 160 miles if you go through the City and over the GW Bridge. It looks like my younger son (14) will be travelling with me. I was looking to go to the Tappan Zee Bridge, and then take 278 South to 202? Have to check my Rand McNalley Road Atlas, but I used to drive to Phillipsburg, NJ quite a bit and that was a good route down to 78 West from here. I am flexible on the route though. Anyway, if you want to go in a group let me know. Jim
