did somebody used this to fix, The blower motor
 

Hi,

After changing the 12 volt blower motor,

I found(with the help of Diesel 300 ) that my control is tossed,

Blower working as soon as key is on,

Did order on ebay a control for 300SL,


Blower Motor Regulator Resistor 1298213351 For Mercedes 300SL 500SL SL320,

$20,

Did any body used it on ,and altered the connectors to fit a different model,

My car is 1987 300SDL, California,

or I am the first to try it?

Assuming the car you bought the module from uses the same CCU as your car, you should be able to use it. You'll have to get a hold of the wiring diagram for that car as well as yours to figure out where to tie the wiring in to make it work. If the donor car used a different system, it may not be compatible with yours.

You could have made things easier for yourself by getting a module for a Gen II W126 or W124, then it would have been plug and play...

The wiring seems similar, plus,minuse, and yellow to control,

Was too busy to find a honer car,

I go some time to San Jose area, and fish for parts,

Or as my mother, G. bless her dear soul,

Buy a new car, or my friend which is a mechanic for 50 years,

When are going to buy a Toyota,or Honda,

If it works, follow up and let us know what you did, it may help someone in the future. Don't forget to heatsink the module and use heatsink paste. It won't last long without it.

Yes I will bolt the heatsink to the module,

I think the module comes with the heatsink white paste,

I ran a W140 controller in my 210 for a while. It worked. I wasn’t sure about the job I did soldering the big wires so I got a plug-n-play 210 controller.

I am using electric connectors with screws(metric)
 

I have a collection of electric connectors that use screws,Europe,Australia has the best,

so I screw them on the pins of the plug, as you can see in the pictures,

no soldering,

I did one like this, the little control to start the starter,

( I change the starter almost every year, life time warranty by au.. z....)

Did installed the the blower control, that fits 280SL,
 

After delays and busy days, and good weather ( drought), I did installed the electronic control I bought from ebay,

Was not easy as I thought,

Drilling new holes in the aluminum heatsink, and taping,

it does work well at low speed,

at high speed, sound like a "diesel" rumbling,

I think the fan plastic blads are bit broken, which might throw the blower out of balance ,

Next stop,pick and pull yard,

I have a working blower from my ‘83 SD that you can have if you can use it. No controller since that car used resistors. I’m near SJC.
