Thumbs up VERY nice looking TD on Ebay

Looks like we lost the sticky thread for posting good finds on Ebay and such....but, thought I'd post this one anyway.

It looks like a VERY primo wagon in seriously great shape!

IMO, that car does not have the low miles stated. The dash needles are not orange anymore, but a pale yellow and the dash is cracked.

What is your paint detailing routine?

Chris - a bit off subject but I couldn't help but admire your car's beautiful finish. Could you briefly mention your paint detailing routine - thanks!

Wayne:

If I'm starting from scratch I do as follows:

1. Start with a clean surface (no wax and clayed until smooth)
2. Apply, either by hand or orbital buffer, 3M 'Imperial Hand Glaze'
3. Hand apply single coat of One Grand's 'Blitz Wax'. Hand buff or orbital buff.

That's it. The pix in my sig is after I detailed the outside for the very first time since I've had it (2 months). It took me a good 2.5 days. Now that it's been done once properly, subsequent detailings should only take a day.

....just fyi, multiple coats of wax are of little use. That's one of the other major reasons I've stuck with the Blitz Wax...it's VERY durable compared to other waxes that people say gives a better shine.

been using this combo for a couple years now. Many others swear by it as well.

Thanks Chris - great results. I'll try your procedure - very basic but very effective! Wayne
