The Sports Car guys whom I pass in the twisty bits heartily agree if not happily .

My first two 300CD's (both NA) were Oriental Red, sadly they also had the crappy tobacco color interiors that always look dirty no matter how much you clean them .

The W123 240D is analogous to my old 1953 VW DeLuxe Beetle : just enough power with good handling and great fuel economy .

The W123 of course, is comfier, safer and much, much quieter inside .

Both had about the same top speed oddly enough .
