OM617 related question

On a OM617 how does the IP increase fuel as the boost pressure rises ? In other words how does the IP see boost then adjust to give the car more fuel ?

There's a plastic tube leading from the rear end of the intake manifold through an electric overboost protection valve then it goes down to the "ALDA" device on top of the IP .

To test, unscrew the 10MM ATF banjo bolt at the IP end of the plastic tube with the engine idling, as soon as you disconnect it the engine should slow down a bit .

The upper end's banjo bolt gets clogged after time as does the electric over boost valve .

Both are easy to clean up / out .
