Recirculation Switch...
I don't seem to notice any difference at all when I have my recirc button on with the AC running. Could it be broken? Any tips or anything to add? Thanks.

According to the owner's manual the recirculation switch is used to keep "offensive odors" from entering the cabin. When activated, the switch closes the fresh air vent for a period of 30 minutes, sealing the cabin from outside air. Very noticeable difference is noted especially when driving past a feedlot or dairy.
My kids refer to is as the "no stinky cow" switch.

haha that's cute! Well that makes sense then! I thought it was a recirc like my jeep and practically everyone else's car that it pulls the inside air back in and cools it again and again and so on. Thank you for the reply!

That is how it works. I believe it may operate via electromagnetic/pneumatic actuators. The switch on the dash is electric and the timer is electric, but the actual piece that changes the arrangement of air ducting so you stop taking fresh air from the outside and start taking air in from inside the car is pneumatic. Normally when you hit the switch you can hear a difference in the air flow if the fan is on high. If you hear nothing, then you probably are not getting the intended action. I have no experience tearing the dash apart to find the faulty actuator or connector, but I think you will find others on the site who have done this successfully. Good luck, Jim

I haven't tried it yet, but in the event that I don't hear anything moving, what will need replaced, how much will it cost, how hard is it to do?

When I turn on the recirc I notice a whirring like a fan. So it appears to be working. Thanks for the help guys!
