Axle Shaft assembly replacement

Anyone here that has replaced axles; besides the ( axles ) what other parts are needed in order to complete the job besides fluid ?

What are you working on?

In general three items:

1. Sealer for the diff cover, Permatex makes one just for diffs, gray in color seems to work well on mine so far.

2. Exhaust hangers if removing any for access.

3. Gloves, the old gear oil smells and is hard to wash away.

If was going to the trouble of removing the shafts, I would not leave the old differential seals behind.
