Wrangler with om617 shut off help

I've got an 83 OM617 Turbo in my 91 Wrangler. I'm trying to get it buttoned up, and for the longest time i was having issues shutting it off. It turns out I had a vacuum line off my pump in the wrong wrong. So to start it, it's just a push button and I have a kind of hidden spot for the battery disconnect. To shut it off, I have a vacuum pump, with a line going to the fuel solenoid or whatever and it shuts the engine off. The only issue I'm having is that there is no way to release the pressure that builds up in the line, so it won't start back up unless i pull the line and put it back on. I can easily hear the pressure releasing. So if anybody that has a diesel wrangler, or knows more about vacuum lines than I do, can inform me of the easiest way to release the built up pressure, that would help. I'm really looking for a way to do it without manually releasing it like a valve, and i don't feel like sucking on it to get it to shut off cause it takes a lot.
