Many dealerships won't or can't get parts like the Classic Center can, you'll get the straight and honest story from the Classic Center. Call them at 1 949-598-4842. Tom Hanson is the manager and he's awesome, but anyone else that works there should be able to easily answer this question.
Seriously, your local dealer may just have decided they don't want to deal with 126 keys anymore, or don't want to make whatever extra effort is required, so they tell you the keys are NLA. Usually the truth is that other dealers or the Classic Center can still get the "NLA" part, or at least tell you when it will be available to purchase from MB again.
