They are available at Peach Parts:

At $4 each, they seem a little pricey but it seems they have an oddball tapered head.

bolts removed

I got them off by drilling the heads off as suggested. Once the striker plate was off the remaining threaded parts of the bolts were easily unscrewed and removed, as predicted. Thanks to all of you!

Glad it worked out O.K. for you .

I recently used an electric impact tool, it chattered a while before teach screw backed out .

I used the same America made SEARS hand impact tool since 1970, it recently wore out after all those years of Commercial use .

Remember : when using an impact tool you need to SMACK it with a BFH, not tap it with a Chinese hammer .

When drilling out these screws use a 7MM bit , a left handed one is a plus but not necessary .

Yeah I just went through this. I hammered my hex socket first and this loosened half of them up. The rest I drilled. They are very soft. I drilled out the hex hole with a small high speed steel bit then I hit it with a carbide tipped masonary bit. Cut like butter metal.

To remove the stubs I used a pair of dental pliers used for tooth extraction. I got them from my dentist grandpa when I was a kid. They have a little cutout for a tooth in the jaws that fits perfectly around the stubby bolt.

Impact driver would have been better though but I misplaced mine. The hard part was finding new screws. I got mine from eBay from a guy who supplies screws to those two part alloy rim people.
