w210 300td is ovp same as k40?

So my starting issue seemed to be solved with me reflowing the k40 solder joints. But i noticed that in stop and go traffic my tach is getting stuck on the way up. under light accel it seems to jump at 200ish increments. On decel it drops smoothly.
