I appreciate that.

I never leave anything alone. I need a source for the 33 year old plastic gear in this sunroof motor. I will be obliged to anyone who can steer me in the direction of a source for this part.

BTW, I'm going to need instructions on adjusting the mechanism so the gear won't strip when I push the button for the first time. Without those I'll just put the motor back in there and live with what I have.

It goes from the rear-middle of the sunroof opening to just behind the hinge on the left side of the car. It's a w126. I don't know but I'll run some week eater line through there and get you a measurement. I reckoned the 5.5' cleaner would be plenty for this.

Anyone got the part number for the early w126...

sunroof felt feet? If I can't fine some I'm gonna try mold making and pour a few.

I'd also like to know the thickness of the felt that's glued onto those feet. Those on my sunroof have disintegrated and look like they were at ground zero in thermonuclear strike.

I appreciate any help or information.

use superlube nlgi2 grease that is sold at harborfreight, its very good for this purpose as it doesnt affect plastic and nylon and it doesnt get hard in the frozen months either. (I also used it in my W210 wiper gearing).
