Typo in title. Should be OM617

I love it. This thing could be really awesome. Love the extended frame and usable bed length.

read through it this morning, I love it as well. For the price as is, I have to say it's probably not worth it, but if those main seals are done, probably good enough.

From the pics I see $5-7K, but as to simple validity I like it. Somebody decomissioned an old Mercedes and hacked up a TJ Wrangler, but in the name of making something more useful than what it started as for a change.

I dont know about that. Im happy with my YJ OM617. Way better fuel mileage then the 4.0 pig it came with and plows the snow around quite nicely.

Love the idea, totally understand where he's coming from. Conceptually very similar to what I built. I would have gone with a welded steel flatbed for more usability(which is exactly what I did), but that's picking nits.

Nowhere near worth $9k. Half that maybe, which is the high end of what I'd expect to get for mine if I ever sold it.

A big part of these custom jobs is that they're TOO custom. How well would any other product sell if built for a demographic of one? Someone might pay more for it if the builder happened on very nearly the custom modifications the buyer wanted anyway, but that just can't be reasonably expected for most of this.

That said, I hope the buyer gets what he wants.
