Question

Mercedes 2007 or 2008 ?

A car dealer sold me a E 320 Diesel as 2008.
The car plate show as manufactured in 07/07.
Dealer said that every car year always start on the middle of the year.
Ex. from 07/07/2017 to 07/07/2018 car is 2018 - 07/07/2018 - 07/07/2019 car is 2019. Is that correct?
Can this car be considered 2008 even made on 07/2007?
