Unless you're slipping badly (high RPM, but no downshift caused it) you have a horsepower problem, not a transmission problem. The SDL should be able to hold 75-80 up a 16% grade (which is pretty steep) without shifting out of 4th and without requiring you to mash the pedal into the carpet. Check/replace fuel filters and check boost pressure at the ALDA.

How do you determine that? If traveling a constant speed and you put your foot down without engaging the kickdown switch, do you suddenly get a HUGE increase in RPM without a resultant downshift? Remember that your transmission does not have a lockup torque converter, so a couple hundred RPM variance is normal from light cruising to hard accelerating.

the car revs high, Not much power to the wheels,

Maybe low pressure in the transmission???????

Maybe coolant enters the transmission line, from the radiator????(4 years old)

i am puzzled,
