How do I check all of the power and grounds on my 300SDL?

Problems are flickering headlights at idle, headlights flickr during shifting, and if you hold the brake while the engine is running and slowly turn the key to the ONE position, the engine will still run but without electronic idle control.

Also tapping the brakes also causes the fuel, oil pressure, and sometimes temperature guage to bounce a bit.

Something isn't right. And it's annoying me.

Don't forget to grease the screw and threads on the spring compressor.

It sounds like you have an electrical ground problem. Mercedes uses a brown colored wire as grounds. Check these wires for a good ground also also check your engine ground strap.

The main ones include:
Behind each headlight, on the fenderwell.
Battery to chassis
Chassis to engine
(2) behind the instrument cluster
LH fenderwell in the trunk

There may be others but these are the ones I've dealt with.
