2005 E320CDI Turbo Press Hi/Lo Code

Hi, still experimenting with this fine car, 181K very happy miles. Last weekend in the Ozarks, she would set the CE lamp intermittently, and seem to be a little low on low-end torque; fine on reset. Set CE on the on-ramp of US 65 at Branson Monday morning; upon reset at Leslie Shell Station (home of FINE fried pies!) and no more CE lamp remainder of the trip despite hills, Interstate driving approx. 80 MPH, etc. Usually the code now is "turbo/supercharger low pressure", haven't seen a "high pressure" code lately.
I think perhaps her turbo vane actuator is becoming more and more intermittent. Does anyone know a source for rebuilt actuators they can recommend? I am willing to swap it out after 13 years and take a chance that's the problem. I am also willing to listen to and consider any advice or comments.

I had my turbo fail mechanically at around 235k. Bearings went, and fan blades broke on intake side. Fortunately nothing made it's way into valves/cylinders. Pureturbos has the mechanical replacement for $700. That was the best price I could find. I had to transfer the control box from old turbo to new turbo. It works great, 323k on the clock now. If you need the control box too, get out your wallet.

My black CDI had turbo code (I don't recall the number) at about 197k. "Anemic" boost was best way to describe it. I popped open the control box and cleaned the contacts on the rotary control wheel. Back to "unleashed banshee" mode. Been fine ever since.

If your turbo positioner is bad, it is easy to replace and available on the auction site. It could also be the boost pressure sensor, which is less expensive and also easy to replace.

"turbo/supercharger low pressure"

Check hoses to insure the are not leaking. I chased same code on a Sprinter one time and it ended up being a split in the hose between the turbo and the intercooler.
