Gents, I知 in Morocco.

Old Benz abundance -especially cabs.
Any rare Euro/North African parts to keep an eye out for?
Thinking of doing a few part scouts while I知 here.

The African market beefier suspension parts for w123s? take some cool photos for us!

If I'm not mistaken, most of the old Mercedes in Morocco are the ones that European countries like Germany threw away, so they'll probably be more built to Euro than North African standards. Still, I think that any heavy-duty parts like skid plates or headlight stone guards would be valuable here, if you find them. Taxi-specific parts would be interesting, though I'm not sure if anyone here would want them.

Maybe some photographs ? .

Been seeing quite a few 240tds -had no idea that was a thing.
Meanwhile, I’m on the lookout for a wooden shifter console. Been riding in quite a few 240 cabs and noticing wood trim in places I haven’t encountered in the states.

I’ll have some pretty unique photos coming next week...

Of course the desirable five speed manual would be worth saving.

In it's day, the W123 240D was the most popular taxi vehicle in the world .

Not hard to see why , so many are still doing yeoman duty daily, mine awaits me by the curb .

There was an L model that had longer legroom fir the rear seat passengers, I've only seen one in the U.S.A. .

Yes! I've removed a few column shifts from W116s before and have been tempted to convert mine to column shift, but with the big, fat console being there anyway, it's almost a waste of space.

Photos, bumpers and headlight guards, even euro lights (at least for the w116) but definitely photos!

How long do you plan to stay? I might get a job there in 2020.

Have you noticed a lot of people speaking French? How about TV?

The next time I go to France, I have to investigate the junkyards in Spain and Morocco
