POST MORE PICS! (I like the eye candy).
Thank you! I hope I won't find something like that on my car....

The doors are all perfect, trunk looks like new and nothing bad on the undercarriage. I'll take some more pictures later today.

Posting some more pictures now. I started working a little on the car but humidity is fairly high today so I went back inside. I left the car on the trailer so I can take it to a body shop this week to get a solid quote on a paint job.

Most of the leather is in great shape

Except for the B-pillars and the driver seat

Looks very nice! Good clean body. Interior issues look tedious but not expensive.

Nice car, glad you can save it.

Just a thing I noticed in your picture, you are blocking a Handicapped spot (or 2). In our jusrisdiction if the law rolls up on you, that is an automatic $250 fine, if you break the plane of the spot for any reason without proper credentials. Even if the place is closed.

Not trying to start a flame war but there are too many people who get offended these days and will drop a dime.

Thanks, you're right - none of it is a big deal. It will just take a little bit of my time and I will actually enjoy fixing the issues.

You're right, blocking handicapped parking spots is not good but the place was deserted. One of those office compounds with huge parking areas that is completely deserted on Sundays.

The cops around here are tough when they need to be but in my experience they're not going after the petty stuff. Moved here from WA years ago - what a change! Perhaps it is too hot in Arizona to spend energy on pissing people off for nothing!

I'll enjoy improving my new-to-me car. It is the 20th used Mercedes I've ever bought.

I'd pull the rear glass and get on top of that sill rust. From the photo it looks like it's worked its way under the gasket.

Yes, it will be taken care of. I spent a few hours on the clear coat. It was so bad in some areas that I cut it with 2,000 grit wet first and then rubbing and polishing compounds. I only got minor improvements here and there.

The clear coat is too far gone so I decided to have the car resprayed and took it to a local body shop. They will take trim, door handles etc. out, remove the small dents and also take the rear windshield out so this can be addressed too. It will not be at the level of a restoration quality paint job but it will be decent. As in not Maaco.

I'll post some pictures when I have the car back.

Regarding the leather, give Renee over at LeatherMagic a call or visit their web site at https://leathermagic.com/

Good people, extremely helpful and pretty knowledgeable.
