I noticed cold car starts, drives,accelerates fine on highway etc. However after a 2+ hour drive, when slowing down to idle it chugs like crazy and I have to give it fuel to stop the shaking.

-new glow plugs
-valve adjustment done 45,000km ago
-new fuel filters all around
-fuel pressure seems fine - lots in prefilter
-rebuilt fuel injectors 30,000km ago
-compression is all above 330
-regular oil changes at 5000KM intervals

Then, look for intake leaks in the fuel hoses or maybe the hand primer pump .
