The " Maximum Power RPM: " value is somewhat miss leading, it is only used to show what RPM you will be in after a maximum acceleration shift.

Thanks, I'm discussing this with a local workshop now. They're specialized in European cars and are familiar with the older models. I'm not in a hurry but if the cost of this swap is not outside of my budget then I might do it. I still have to get a better understanding of the controllers. It pays to take time for research.
