Windshield compatibility
 

Is the front windshield glass the same in a sedan as in a wagon? I picked up a wagon windshield for my 300d sedan but just wanted to confirm before I pull the old one out.

I'd look up the part numbers then lay the replacement on the original to make sure I wasn't taking a car off the road with a mistake. The following website will have the numbers you want to examine if you have the year, model and a few other details about both cars.

Sedan and wagon are the same, the coupe is different.

Thank you. That’s what I thought, I just didn’t want to find out I was wrong the hard way.

Unfortunately, I found out the hard way years ago. I cracked the windshield (being a numbskull) on my first 'Benz ('82 coupe), and thought I could just go get one from another W123. I was wrong, and paid dearly for a new one.
