W123 how do you lower the rear Trailing Arm so you can pull the Spring out

In a lot of threads it has been said that you don’t need a Spring Compress for the rear Spring on a W123 (and people say they have done that) to remove a rear spring.

Bunt on mine there is 2 projections/hooks that limit the downward travel of the Trailing arm. See attached pic.

It also looks as if the Parking Brake Cable could also limit the travel.

Please note I have the Car on the rear side I am working on jacked up by way of the bilinstine jack that came with the care with a block of wood under it to gain more height. And I put another Jack so the Differential Support rests on it (pic came out a little dark).

When I removed the Sub Frame Bolt where it bolts into the Sub Frame Bushing the Spring push the Sub Frame down and popped loose.
I don't know if that bent anything or not. see pic

I needed to lower the Subframe anyway to get the Rear Trailing Arm Bolts out.
