1989 250TD

Wondering where I might be able to get an OEM rear fog lamp for 1989 250TD.

There should be a rear fog light socket in the driver side tail light cluster. The lowest position. It should even be wired since it isn’t a US market car.

Thanks.
Any particular place on this site to connect with other 250TD owners? I've got a shop manual for the 1990 300D, and manage to muddle through, but would value having some fellowship.

Thomas, this forum where you are posting is the best place, many wagon owners here but your model (250TD) is not common in the US. We probably know the engine (it was used in our sedans) and we know the wagon body (but not any options peculiar to the rest of the world) so keep asking and we'll do our best.

The 250td is more or less the same as the w124.128 us spec model. For differences I suggest you compare the parts catalog for the system your working on it will have your model as well.

Google w124 electronic parts catalogue. The note the part numbers to help you find a vendor online.

The engine will be more like a 190D 2.5 NA than a 300D 2.5 turbo, the turbo being the biggest difference. The 250TD likely has an SLS pump driven by the camshaft like a 617 TD rather than a 603 TD tandem pump.

Appreciate the helpful responses. Like many other shade trees, I have unlimited curiosity and determination, but frequently need pointers to keep it between the buoys. Nice to know I have assistance as I maintain this unusual car.
