Mystery fuse box 85 300SD! What is this small fuse box with Two 16 amp fuses for?

I've been trying to find a 30 amp strip fuse for the blower motor on my 1985 300SD that I've read about in many forum posts but I can't find one. Either I am blind or perhaps it is not in the engine compartment. I've found this little fuse box with two 16 amp fuses in it. What are these fuses for?

Thanks in advance for your replies!

Quite obviously, one fuse has no function. Remove the connected one, and see what stops working.

There are two fuses but the fixed side of the copper fuse holder for both fuses is one solid piece. Therefore, both fuses are are doing something. I guess I could remove them and see what stops working but not everything is working properly on the car at the time.

Probably an auxiliary fuse for the heater blower.

You're not blind and it's not in the engine compartment. The strip fuse in the auxiliary fuse holder showed up halfway through year model 1986. Prior to that was a 25A fuse in the main fuse box, and they're notorious for heat damage.
