Hey guys I'm working on a 85 300td that slips bad in 1st gear. It's really noticable one a 2-1 downshift. it feels like nobody is home after that down shift but if you let it upshift again it feels normal. I was going to put a transmission in it until I saw that the b2 piston might be the problem. Does this sound like a b2 piston or band failure? If not what other model transmissions are compatible with a 85 300td?
