85 300D tempurature switch for vacuum
Hey there, my friend has an 85 300D that was taken apart for painting and hes got it all back together except for a few things.
We cant find where this tempurature sensor/switch (#20) is for this vacuum switchover. Im thinking they plugged a hole in the block during the rebuild years back, but I dont want to be wrong. Can someone tell me where its located? A part # would be cool too! Thanks!

I never had a 617 with a BFS but my guess would be right at the thermostat housing or in the cylinder head between injectors. The sender for the temp gauge should be in one of those cylinder head locations.

Coolant temperature switch Located in the thermostat housing MB part number 005 545 63 24 #25 Vacuum Transducer Switchover Valve. Located behind the coolant reservoir. Page 212 Figure 4 (on page 7 on the pdf in the link). https://www.startekinfo.com/StarTek/outside/12265/disc_2/program/ETM/123%20turbodiesel_comp2.pdf Not sure of the part number for # 25 , I think it may be stamped on the part itself. (To verify the location of #20, the wire from # 25 should connect to # 20.)
