junk wheels to fit w126

I'm going to be parting out a w126 (300SDL) soon and the owner is selling it without wheels. I have a few bundts lying around, but I'd rather keep them if I could.

What wheels will fit a w126 in the front without having to remove the caliper? I don't care what they are as they will be sent to the scrapyard. I just need something cheap to be able to move the car around (onto a car dolly/around a parking lot/onto a flatbed).

Don't know what specific model wheel to look for but I'm sure you can find something in 114.3x5 bolt pattern with large enough hub bore and acceptable offset to clear the brakes. Maybe a Ford truck? They will go on, but the lugs won't seat correctly.

Here is a list of cars with the 5x114.3 bolt pattern. Many are common at junkyards. Just have to make sure the offset is correct.

Bolt pattern | Stud Pattern : Bolt Pattern list 5 X 114.3

m:

Have look at VW & Audi wheels for mid-90s and later. They use 5 on 112mm, and were equipped with 15s & 16s.
MB uses a 112mm bolt circle, not 114.3.

I think I figured it out.

I was going to try to scour craigslist or look to see what models came with steel wheels and grab some from the local junkyard (alloy/ Aluminum wheels are $30 each). I think I'm going to try to find a few MB spare wheels in the junkyard as they are $13 each. That way I know they'll fit.

Did MB use a different lug size on later vehicles? Or should I be fine with w210/w201/202/203 spares?

Any MB will fit. They may not all be an ideal offset, but if you're not going to drive it I wouldn't even worry. I would avoid Audi/VW as the center bore is too small. The reason 5x114.3 was suggested is because a lot of Fords use them and there's a lot of those in junkyards. They'll definitely fit the center bore (I know because I currently run a set on my 123) and many of the car model offsets are correct, not that it matters for rolling around purposes.

I thought the bolt pattern for Mercedes is 5x112, at least that is what it says on the wheels????

All those cars use 12mm lugs, same as W126. Here most yards won't sell the MB spare at the "spare wheel" price. That deal is only reserved for donuts.

Yes, 112 is MB bolt circle. 114.3 will work for his purposes and is far more common, particularly because many of the later MB wheel offsets won't work on 126.

Nope. Those are European metric log slices and were never imported Stateside.

The second generation w126 has larger calipers and will not be able to accept first generation bundt rims. You need 15 inch or larger.

Did not the OP start out by saying precisely that?!
