W123 Flex Disk Hardware - Reuseable??

Time to replace the center support bearing, and that means removing the flex disks.

I've read that the flex disk hardware (bolts, nuts, etc) is "single-use", so I shouldn't reuse it.

Do I really need to use new bolts, nuts, etc? I can't seem to find replacement hardware unless I buy a kit, which includes new flex disks (my flex disks are OEM and only a few years old).

look for any signs of the rubber starting to crack, if OE and not that old I would reuse them. I put blue loctite on the bolts and reuse them too.

I've reused all of it when it was in good shape on multiple vehicles, never had any issues.

The nuts are self-locking and are technically single-use. The bolts are just standard hardware. As mentioned above, blue Loctite on the threads and you're golden.

Unless you just replaced them, swap the discs while you are there. One less thing in the list.

As a rule, Mercedes says all self locking nuts are single use. (replace as a matter of course, or something like that) Since these are not the kind of locknut that uses nylon to lock, a certain amount of thread damage occurs to the bolt. Does it bother me? No. Maybe you wouldn't want to reuse them 15 times, 5 times, twice, that's up to you.
