Who has high mileage badges?

I’m applying for high mileage badges for ol’ girl, I’ve put 45000 miles on it since I got it with about 514k miles. I’m gonna go into work tomorrow and see if they’re still a thing and I can get them. At 558k, it’s time it gets some badges!

Who else has them? And what’s your mileage?

I'd have to go to the dealer and apply for em. I wonder if you get all the previous mileage badges as well...

Always thought about it but just been too lazy to go to the dealership

It's definitely still a thing. You have to print off a form and take it into a dealership to get it signed off, then mail it in. Be prepared for the guys at the service desk to play dumb. They were highly confused when they learned that they couldn't connect their computer to my 1986 car to "scope the ECU for the stored mileage".
High Mileage Award

I got mine earlier this year, took about 3 months to get the badge, it just showed up on my porch one day.

I have the first two, the third is coming up (448K miles). I mounted the badges in the corners of my grille.

Unfortunately, this car is unlikely to make it's 4th badge.

I have the first one. The odometer is currently sitting at 155,900 miles on my 1987 300D.

Post Mileage Awards

I've gotten one or two, I need to find the PDF and print out the form again .

They cheapened the design of the badges a few years back, a sad thing .

I received a 250,000 km badge for my 1980 W116 300SD, and then later a 500,000 km badge.

And yes, the plastic retainers used to secure the grille badges are just made from sliding door parts found at your local hardware store. MB Mileage Badges Are Made From Spare Sliding Door Parts!

I also have the 250K Km and 500K Km badges on my 240D. It's at 341K miles now. I actually got them for my previous 240D and simply kept them when that car was scrapped. I haven't bothered doing the paperwork on my current one. I just transferred the old ones over to my new car.

Yes, print off the form. The service dept people have to ask around to find anyone who knows about the badges, and there's always one guy. Then it gets signed off. Maybe once they actually checked the odometer. I have 2 cars with 1 badge, and 2 with 2.

Yes go in there and get them!

Both times i've gone in, my car hadn't had the earlier badges claimed so I got a bunch.

Well worth the 30 minutes going to and from the place.

The first dealer I went to was in my hometown. Their service guy was a passionate dieseler so we had a good talk. The second dealer I went to here in SoCal couldn't be arsed to care.

I had one of the sales guys sign off for me. It's a shame most of these dealerships appreciates the older models. Lot of history with the brand.

When I went to the dealership in Fresno, CA, they were very cordial and knowledgeable about the badges and a bunch of people came out and looked at the car and how clean it was and how it ran so well. They were marveling at a well built car, since they don't see them often. The dealership guys are surrounded every day by Mercedes vehicles, with not a bit of quality to be found anywhere
